Why Ultrascope

The UltraScope was the first pressure sensitive stethoscope on the market and was originally designed and introduced to the United States of America more than 10 years ago.

With its unique head design, it eliminates the need for the traditional bell and provides outstanding acoustic performance enabling highly sensitive assessment of heart and lung sounds, without the inconvenience of turning over the chest piece.

All that’s required is to apply light pressure when listening for low frequency sounds (heart) and increase the pressure slightly to hear high frequency sounds (lung). Use medium pressure for taking blood pressure readings.

It operates within a wide frequency range of between 20-35 kHz and the unique design enables the head, tubing and binaural assembly to filter out external noises whilst amplifying heart and lung sounds to an incredible level, without the need for batteries or electronics.

Now with 60 head designs and a choice of 14 tubing colours, not only will your scope provide excellent performance, the option to personalise it is limitless. Each head is individually crafted and as such, no two are exactly alike.

They are manufactured from extremely durable high impact acrylic and are thus remarkably robust and very easy to keep clean.

The additional option of engraving the acrylic head in a choice of colours not only enhances your scope but makes it uniquely your own and improves security.

UltraScopes come in a variety of styles including models with interchangeable heads, teaching, or double tubing for those with a hearing imbalance. We are also offer the UltraScope with a Paediatric head which is 3/4 size ofthe adult, or a Neonatal which is ½ size of the adult.
